August 2008: I have started fitting Spence for halter and he is coming along nicely. Now if the weather will cooperate, I can get horses worked and accomplish something.
September 2008: Black Streak will be heading to Oklahoma in the near future. Spence has his first show and brought home two ribbons to start his show career with. Shama was her normal trooper self in Lead Line with my daughter at her first show of the season.
I am planning on attending The Basic Handle clinic in November for the second time. I will be taking my blue roan stallion, Snoopy, and my daughters black Arabian mare.
November 2008: Just back from The Basic Handle clinic and Snoopy did awesome. He was the perfect gentleman and we improved our skills quite a bit. He had several compliments on his looks and manners with even one gentleman taking a look to verify that Snoopy was indeed a stallion. Check out Snoopy's page for the new photos from the clinic.
April 2009: I just realized how long it has been since I posted any updates here. Like everyone else, we are having to tighten our belts. Black Streak and Zorras Caliente have moved on to new homes. Both of their new owners are thrilled with them.
We are now down to 3 horses and still plan to offer the two boys at stud. Snoopy is standing at stud to the public now and Spence will be available to a limited book in 2010. We are pretty much concentrating on getting Spence started under saddle this year and maybe showing Snoopy in some English classes.
August 2009: Spence is continuing his under saddle education with the addition of a rider. Snoopy has been on the trails and working on a barrel pattern with the hopes to start hauling him this season to the local jackpots. Spence will be availabe at stud to 1-2 mares in 2010.
